Opening hours

The St. Thomas Church is open daily from 9:00 am till 6:00 pm. Visitations and guided tours are allowed when worship services and motets are not proceeding. We reserve the right to temporarily close the church without advanced notice due to sound and film rehearsals.

Guided Tours

Guided tours during opening hours are available by the staff of the St. Thomas Church by appointment. All visitors are asked to be aware that churches are a place of worship and quietness.

Fees for Guided Tours

There is a 1€ fee per person for tour groups visiting the St. Thomas Church, which is to be paid at the Thomas Shop.

Steeple Tours

Tours of the church steeple are offered from April till end of November. Tours begin at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm (after the motet) on Saturdays and at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Sundays. From the top of the tower, there is a breathtaking view of the city of Leipzig.
Furthermore, visitors can view the 500-year old Gothic roof truss of the St. Thomas Church. The entrance fee is 2€ per person; children under 12 years are free. Guided tours of the steeple for private groups are also available with advanced registration.
